Past Events
Lions Zone One Walk-a-Thon
On May 18, 2008, the Saugus Leos walked Lake Quannapowit to raise money for eye rearch. The Saugus Leos raised over 20% of the money raised in District 33N. Thanks to all for making the Saugus Leo's first fundraiser a success.
Trip to Mass Eye and Ear
On May 23, 2008 the Saugus Leos Club traveled with the Saugus Lions Club to Mass Eye and Ear in Boston, Massachusetts. The trip was a great success. The Leos toured the research facilities at the world renowned faclity and witnessed first hand how DNA is collected, how DNA is analyzed and how that analysis can cure disease and save lives.
Founder's Day 2008
At Founder's Day, the Leos built and ran a balloon dart game played by over 350 kids.
Saugus Leos Club Charter
On Wednesday, October 1, 2008 the Saugus Lions Club witnessed the execution of the Saugus Leo Club Charter. Wasting no time, the Saugus Leos announced the www.SaugusLeos.com Yankee Candle e-Fundraiser within minutes of being officially recognized by Lions International.

October 2008
During the month of October 2008 the Saugus Leos launched the www.SaugusLeo.com Yankee Candle e-Fundraiser. The benefactors of the e-Fundraiser will be divided between the Jimmy Fund, Mass Lions Eye Research and the Saugus Leos.
November 2008
In a combined fundraising effort, the Saugus Leos Club has joined forces with their Lions counterparts to sell wreaths throughout the month of November. During the weekend after Thanksgiving, the Leos and the Lions will be selling Christmas wreaths throughout Saugus. The price for a double-sided 12" wreath is $10 without a bow and $12 with a bow. December 2008
The Saugus Leos held a clothing drive that resulted in the donation of new and slightly used clothing to a homeless women's shelter.
